This was one of the earlier reclamation projects in Bahrain and it included construction of the Lulu / Reef Island, which comprised 39 residential buildings, 65 villas, 49 beach villas and a 5-star hotel. It was also planned to include a marina and a yacht club.
The scope of work included concept design of edge treatments for the planned development. The edge treatment structures included block-work gravity walls, retaining sheet pile walls and revetments.
Project executed while Jesper Damgaard was employed by HR Wallingford.
