CoMarEng staff have been involved in a number of the large waterfront developments that were planned and (in some cases) constructed in the Arabian Gulf over the past two decades. Most of these developments involved significant reclamation and/or dredging.

CoMarEng’s core expertise is in the early feasibility and master planning phases of waterfront developments. The elements addressed include determination of safe reclamation platform level taking sea level rise into account, coastal protection of outer edges, edge treatments of canals and inner frontages, flushing and water quality, design of safe and aesthetic beaches, geotechnical assessment of reclamations and soil improvement.
