Kilronan Harbour Development
The Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht in Ireland wanted to expand and improve the existing harbour at Kilronan in the Arann Islands. Developments were to include a breakwater and an expanded basin to accommodate a range of vessels, including berths for fishing, RoRo and general cargo vessels, and a marine facility.
The scope of work included impact studies for expansion of the existing harbour and development of scheme options. Impact studies included navigation studies, wave disturbance and siltation as a result of a proposed harbour extension.
