Baramulti Group desired to de-bottleneck its coal mining facility at Antang Gunung Meratus in southern Kalimantan. They commissioned a study to identify cost-efficient improvements in the entire pit-to-port system.

The scope of works included masterplanning of an expanded capacity system followed by concept design of all the marine, civil and bulk materials handling (BMH) systems, and preliminary cost estimates. The works included BMH at the mine site, barge loading facilities, river training and navigation aspects, and barge-to-ship loading at the Sungai Puting floating terminal.
