Longman outfall - scour assessment

The Bechtel Morrison JV were constructing a new storm water outfall at the Kessock Narrows in Inverness, UK.  They had to demonstrate that the outfall scheme would not adversely affect the foundations of the nearby Kessock Narrows suspension bridge and called upon HR Wallingford to make that specialist assessment.

Scope pf Work: site visit and desk study to assess the consequence of the proposed outfall scheme on scour around the suspension bridge piers.

Project executed while Jesper Damgaard was employed by HR Wallingford.
