Lae Port
Lae Port is PNG’s largest, busiest, and most important port. It is also the major gateway to international and local trade for the country. Therefore, PNG Ports Corporation, supported by ADB, formulated an expansion programme. One of the components of this programme was the expansion and strengthening of berth number 3, one of the so-called overseas main wharves.
The scope of work involved design and construction supervision of a 220m by 34.5m concrete deck on piles with an operational water depth at LAT of 12m.
