Jebel Ali Port
As part of DP World’s expansion plans, Container Terminal 3 (CT3) within Jebel Ali port was rebuilt, among other things to provide a berth depth of -18m. The works included a new quay structure with a minimum length of 1860m with tie-ins to the existing structures at either end, fenders, bollards, facilities for electrically operated rail-mounted quayside cranes with rails at a gauge of 35m, heavy container pavement, utilities, RMG maintenance area and various buildings.
Scope of work comprised
- tender design including preliminary bills of quantities and later
- technical audit of the port design as Independent Engineers retained by the succesful Contractor.
