Al Reem Island is a high-end reclamation with residential, recreational and commercial developments on the reclamation platform. It is located in the shallow waters east of the city of Abu Dhabi. Plot 4 was planned as a mixed residential and commercial zone. The aim of Al Reem Island Plot 4 was to provide high-class restaurants, shopping, offices and residential units. The development would be intersected by canals with aesthetically pleasing edge treatments and clean water. There would also be a state-of-the-art marina.

Scope of work:
• Conceptual design of edge treatment structures, breakwaters and canals,
• Establishing marina operational basis and marina concept design,
• Modelling of canal flushing to validate master plan from a marine point of view and
• Assessment of waves and wave disturbance in marinas.
